I have a case of the Mon-days...

Now that I am home everyday and can't really do much, I really miss the weekend when Scott is home to help. Today is especially bad because Claire has a fever of 102.3 and is just cranky. I called her pediatrician who just recommended keeping the fever down with motrin/tylenol and call him if it persists. Luckily she is eating and drinking just fine. We will be watching a lot of TV today!!

In pregnancy news, I really need to stop googling because I constantly freak myself out. Every time I feel an ache "downtown" I assume that my cervix is continuing to shorten. I also have been on message boards where girls are on full bedrest who have a longer cervix than me with just one baby. I really don't want to be on full bedrest!!! I would be miserable not seeing Claire.

We obviously need to get a bigger car since I am pretty sure three carseats are not going to fit in a Jetta. We are looking into the Highlander and the Pilot. Anyone else know of any SUVs with a possible third row? We have discussed the Odyssey...although I never wanted to have a minivan (however I never thought I would have three kids), it might be our best bet. For now though, we will search more SUVs.

I really like the Dodge caravan and the Chrysler Town and Country if you go the minivan route. I never thought I would want a minivan, but if I had 3 kids I definitely would have one. My cousin has a Dodge, has 3 kids and loves it. She wants a new one.

And I hope that Claire feels better.

I have to tell you, I did a LOT of SUV research when we were getting ready to try for #2... you just do not get as much for your $$ as you do with a minivan, (not even close) especially if you want that third row, which we did. I did not want a minivan EVER, but had to concede it really was the best option. Now I do have to admit, I love the Chrysler T&C. :) It's also easier to get the kids in and out of their carseats than it is in an SUV... and I HEART the Stow and Go. :) Just my $.02.

I have an Odyssey and I LOVE it! We got ours at Car Max and it has the DVD player in it. Carter loves that! As far as SUVs go, I don't know much. But, I would give my vote for the Odyssey. It's the highest rated van and it's a Honda so it's good.

Don's already looking at putting me in the Odyssey. As for an SUV, my fav is the Acura MDX. :) The new ones are badass.

I love my minivan. I can't imagine kids without it! My personal thought is to look into gas mileage. I just spent $3.95/gall today and I'm still bitter. I think you'll do better with the minivan. Join the minivan club. We're fun people!

I too NEVER wanted a mini van but I love it! I have the Dodge Grande Caravan and it is great. When you put all the seats down it has as much room as the back of a truck. Plus you don't have to move seats to get anyone in the car which you do in a SUV.
Good Luck in your search.
