Day 4 of Claire's fever!!

Poor little Bear. Her fever started on Monday morning and it hasn't gone down without the help of motrin/tylenol yet. Other than some mild crankiness and not finishing all meals she appears to be fine. I took her to her pediatrician yesterday and he couldn't find anything wrong with her. He thinks the fever is going to turn into Roseola. I guess we will just have to wait and see if a rash appears. We are both bored out of our minds here on house arrest.

On Tuesday evening, I was able to go to a baby shower for my neighbor. It was nice to get out. One of my friends used to be an OB nurse for GBMC so she gave me the juice on all the OBs. She told me that the high risk OB that I was thinking about asking to be referred to is a major bitch. She says that the OB knows her stuff and is excellent but is rather mean/condescending to her patients which often results in tears. She said she has seen her make fathers cry. I guess it gives me something to think about...I don't like arrogant doctors, but if she can deliver the twins as close to term as possible I guess it is worth it. I haven't made a decision quite yet, but I will talk to my current OB about it at my Wednesday appointment.

20 weeks tomorrow...

I was going guess Roseola... we went through this with Ben when he was around 18 months old... crazy fever, crazy cranky... no eating... WTF? Then bam, he was better and out came the rash. :) Here's hoping that's what it is because you know there's an end to it very soon!

As for doctors, I think my SIL's ob does high risk... Dr. Quartner? She loves her! Very no nonsense, but very good at what she does!

I hope that she feels better soon.

I have a friend that is a nurse at GBMC would you want me to ask her if she could refer anyone for high risk. The only high risk OB's that I know right now are either at Sinai (where I had Logan) or in Howard Co.

one positive is that if you know she;s a bitch, you can prepare for it. She won't catch you off-guard. We'll keep praying for ya!
